How the modern mom is losing spiritually

Last night I stayed up with my daughters praying and breathing words of life in to their lives.

One of my daughters was under a spiritual attack and I had to recognize that it wasn’t a physical war against me. It was spiritually and so I had to put on my armor.

Ephesians 6:11Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the schemes of the devil.

It’s so hard to get a grasp of the spiritual world when we are so connected to the physical one. We live in a such a physical state of mind that we lose connection with what’s really waging war spiritually.

Ephesians 6:12

For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places.

We take our children’s disobedience and yell and scream when we need to get to the root of it, we have to dig deep for their cause in their hearts. It’s all spiritual. But that’s easily overlooked because we live in a shallow Christianity where Jesus is a genie and not a spiritual being.

Our children need us.

They need our prayers.

They need us to get on our knees and call on Jesus.

We HAVE to be a generation of mothers who seek God first.

A generation of mothers who raise children on their knees.

A generation of women who recognize the spiritual world and connect to it.

I can’t stress this enough. The enemy came to kill and destroy and he’s not coming for those who are already his… he’s coming for our children.

For you.

For your marriage.

For your whole family.

1 Peter 5:8Be sober-minded; be watchful. Your adversary the devil prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour.

John 10:10The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have life and have it abundantly.

How can we possibly ever know what to do? Pray. Learn your scripture. Ask God for wisdom and to know when the enemy is attacking, always be ready.

Philippians 4:6Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.

Pray without ceasing,

Romans 8:26Likewise the Spirit helps us in our weakness. For we do not know what to pray for as we ought, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words.

We must get connected with God. Without God we might raise nice kids but not saved kids who choose Jesus on their own.

Moms, we live in a world that easily gets distracted by its many things, bright shiny things, by it’s bad things, by it’s expensive things, and we forget that it’s a spiritual world. We get so distracted wanting to have a big house wanting to even have more land, nicer cars, more money that we completely forget about praying for our children. That we say a mere small prayer when we should be taking the time to really get in the word to really pray for our children into raise war against the enemy who is constantly trying to gain the soles of her children.

Instead we have become mothers way to concerned about “me time” we are way to concerned about losing weight way to concern about how to decorate our house way to concerned about our husbands income way to concern about what people are going to say about my children’s behavior. Way to concern about taking the perfect picture for Instagram. There’s nothing wrong with any of these things but they should not be our mere focus in a mothers life. Those things should no, ought not distract us from the spiritual things that need our attention.

Hold on to this promise:

Isaiah 55:11In the same way, my words leave my mouth, and they don’t come back without results. My words make the things happen that I want to happen. They succeed in doing what I send them to do.

GODS WORDS WILL NEVER RETURN EMPTY.

I want to encourage you today to ask God to guide you, to give you wisdom. I encourage you to put all things aside and focus on the spiritual world, to pray for your children! You can not afford to not. Trust me when I say that our children will apreciare it because there’s no greater joy than to know our children walk in the truth friend!

I just happened upon your youtube channel which led me to your blog……..the videos, how they make me smile! 🙂 You have truly blessed me between the two, I have 2 girls as well with my third (gender a surprise) on the way. We have a mini farm where we grow TONS of veggies (seriously my husband thinks we have 20 kids or something!) and chickens. Keep up the good work and I look forward to more blog posts and videos! 3. This was the most beautiful read! Amen to all the words of your heart! As a woman of God, I know this spiritual warfare too well. I have always believed in putting on the armor of God and fighting on my knees. My children are seeds that The Lord has entrusted me to water on this earth so HE can grow. Motherhood is the most pivotal role in life and a ministry in which I also believe modern times has diminished it’s importance. I dreamed of being a mama since I was a little girl and my husband and I knew it was a blessing for me to stay home and care for our children. We live on one income but God supplies all our needs. Even when we face difficulties and trials financially, we trust in HIM. God bless you immensely, my beautiful friend.
