What’s your homeschool vision, and who can help you with it?

When I started homeschooling, I had this vision of what I wanted it to look like. The things I wanted to teach and the way I wanted it done.

I’ve only been at it for one year but I can tell you that I’ve learned so much about making that vision come true. What parts of it were realistic, what parts were not and how I could make the part that could be, happen.

When you start your journey to homeschool I really want to encourage you to sit down and think or jot down the “WHY” and the “ HOW”, you want to homeschool. Write down your vision and pray about it. Ask God to guide that vision and to help you know when to pass up on something (even if everyone is doing it) or when to pick up on something (even if no one is doing it) the one way I can ensure my “vision” comes true is by meditating on it and asking God to guide me.

As we head in to another year of school, I want to encourage you to put it in God’s hands. To have an open heart and mind to where God is leading you as your childrens’ mother and teacher. Allow him to change you planner. Allow him to show you a better way. Sure, plan your school year but allow the Lord to help you with your homeschool vision.

This year I want to make it a priority to have a closer relationship with God to be able to make my vision clear for my school year.

Matthew 6:33

But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.

Proverbs 3:5-6

Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths.

These are the two bible verse I hold close to my heart, and as I get closer to another year of homeschooling I want it to ring true in all I do.

So what’s your vision?
