We can have the newest journal Bible, the beautiful planner, the perfect scripture cup with your choice of liquid, the perfect journal, and HECK even diffuse the best oils (Valor for me 😉) but NONE of that matters if we don’t have dicipline to deny ourselves of what the flesh wants to do instead of spending time in God’s word. Continually seeking him to know the difference between what the we think God wants us to do and what he really calls us to do. –
If only I had that perfect scripture cup, if only I could get my hands on that new bible with the cursive font and flowers that were hand painted, if only I could just have a pretty planner to plan out exactly what chapters I have read or have to read what day. If only I could have the perfect warm blanket to sit on that one chair I saw at Sears to spend time with God….. None of it matters, until we realized that an old bible and a dollar store spiral notebook would do just fine with self discipline.
Pretty sure Paul didn’t have any fancy paper while in prison … –
Ask me how I know all of this. I have it all and still find that, “if only.” God looks down at me and says, ” if you only knew how much you’re mission out on.” If only … None of it matters until we practice dicipline and self control to continually seeking him
1 Chronicles 16:11
Seek the Lord and his strength; seek his presence continually.
